New Ipswich will host its Memorial Day celebrations Sunday, May 18, with two parades and ceremonies at local cemeteries in the morning and afternoon.

The morning parade meets at 19 Goen Road and steps off at 9:30 a.m., marching to South Cemetery via Page Hill Road.

The afternoon parade meets at the New Ipswich Congregational Church, stepping off at 1 p.m. to march to the Central Cemetery on Main Street. Following the observances at the Central Cemetery, the parade reforms and proceeds to the Soldiers Monument on Main Street for additional observances, then to Memorial Field to disband.

There will be a float for any veterans who are unable to march. The public is welcome to march in the parade.
