A driver had minor injuries after a rollover crash on Wednesday night in Greenville that took out a telephone pole and sparked a brush fire.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police and fire responded to a reported motor vehicle rollover with entrapment on Old Wilton Road. Upon arrival, one person was helped from the car and was taken by the Souhegan Valley Ambulance to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to a report issued by the Greenville Fire Department.

According to the report, the car had knocked down a telephone pole, which resulted in the Fire Department responding to a subsequent call due to an electrical fuse on a pole some distance down the road from the crash. The fuse had blown, which was the likely spark that started a brush fire near the base of the pole. The fire spread to about a 75- by 75-foot area, extending up a hillside.

The Greenville Fire Department were assisted on the scene of the brush fire by the New Ipswich Fire Department and the Temple Volunteer Fire Department.

The Temple-Greenville Police Department, the New Ipswich Police Department, the Mason Police Department and Maillet Auto Sales and Service responded to the scene of the crash. Prior to Greenville fully clearing the scenes, the New Ipswich Fire Department also responded to assist the Souhegan Valley Ambulance Service with an unrelated medical call in Greenville.

Eversource remained on scene to conduct repairs to the poles and wires.
