Malin Alusic-Bingham of Antrim, skiing for the New England College Alpine ski team, tied for first place in giant slalom at the NEC Invitational held at Pat’s Peak.

New England College competed against the University of Maine at Farmington, St. Joseph’s College of Maine, the University of Maine, Bowdoin University and Colby-Sawyer College.

Alusic-Bingham followed her first-place finish with a fifth-place finish in the slalom the next day. With times of 56.60 and 58.25, Alusic-Bingham finished just five seconds behind first place with a total time of 1:54.85.

An Antrim native and a graduate of Holderness School and Dickinson College, Alusic-Bingham is obtaining a master’s degree in international relations at NEC.
