ConVal names Larry Pimental athletic director

ConVal School District has named current Peterborough Elementary School Principal Larry Pimental as the new director of athletics and co-curriculars.

Pimental, who has served as PES principal for six years, will begin in the position on July 1. He replaces Kevin Proctor, whose contract was not renewed.

Pimental began his career in education in 1999 as an academic support teacher in New Hampton, later serving as assistant/associate dean of students. He joined the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District in 2009, serving as assistant principal and principal at Conant High School and as athletic director from 2009 to 2011.

He coached varsity and junior varsity football and baseball at New Hampton School, as well as with Mt. Monadnock Little League, ConVal Cal Ripken Baseball and the ConVal Soccer Club.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Nazarene College, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Plymouth State University.

The district will begin a search for a new PES principal.
