Hancock sets Indepedence Day celebration

The Town of Hancock will host its annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks on Sunday, June 29, starting at 5 p.m. at Moose Brook Park, 33 Forest Road.

The community event will feature food, live music and a group singalong. Scheduled performers include Melancholy Honey, Brother Seamus and Eyes of Age. Burgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks, snow cones and other refreshments will be available for purchase.

Fireworks will begin at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and their voices to participate in the festivities. The suggested donation is $10 per adult. Children attend for free.
