Letter: Thanks from Rindge Operation Santa

In Rindge, this holiday season, Operation Santa was happy to help 76 children from 28 families.
The generous community was responsible for a great portion of this effort. The "giving trees,” the backbone of our program, were sponsored by Walmart of Rindge, Ingalls Memorial Library and TD Bank in Cheshire Marketplace. P.O.O.R. graciously provided money for warm winter boots and clothing. FPU's staff and students saw to it that each child received books in their area of interest.
Thanks goes to our monetary donors: Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary, Jaffrey-Rindge Lions, RAMS, Bob Martin, Bay State Financial, Bob Hudson, Robert Alden, Janice Fiandaca and others who wish to remain anonymous. We appreciate the efforts of Market Basket management and employees for collecting money so each family received food gift cards.
The Rindge Woman's Club, the founder of this longstanding community event, had lots of elves monitoring "giving trees" -- wrapping, shopping, organizing and distributing gifts to make wishes come true. We thank all who made this possible, for efforts large and small. You made many children happy.
