Greenfield Spelling Bee is May 3

The second Greenfield Spelling Bee will take place Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at Greenfield Elementary School, 860 Forest Road, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Meetinghouse and the Stephenson Memorial Library.

The family event is open to the public, with free parking. A children’s bee for ages 7 to 17 will be followed by an adult bee for ages 18 and up. Cash prizes will be awarded for first through fourth place in each bee.

Registration is open to local residents through Saturday, April 26. Sign up at Stephenson Memorial Library, 761 Forest Road or online at tinyurl.com/5cavhzaj. The fee is $10 per participant and $5 for each additional child per family.
