The award-winning documentary “Food, Inc.” returns with a sequel, “Food, Inc. 2.” The new film will have a pre-release screening Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey.

In “Food, Inc. 2,” the sequel to the 2008 Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning documentary, “Food, Inc.,” filmmakers Robert Kenner and Melissa Robledo reunite with investigative authors Michael Pollan (“The Omnivore’s Dilemma”) and Eric Schlosser (“Fast Food Nation”) to examine the country’s food system. The film will explore the role of multinational corporations, wages for workers, the focus on profit and ultra-processed foods.

The film centers around innovative farmers, future-thinking food producers, workers’ rights activists and legislators such as U.S. Sens. Cory Booker and Jon Tester, who are facing these companies to inspire change and build a healthier, more sustainable future.

Tickets are $10, $9 for seniors 62 and up, children, students, teachers and active military. Purchase by going to theparktheatre.org or by calling the box office at 603-532-8888.
