Chamberlin Free Public Library and New Hampshire Humanities will present “The Beginner’s Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing” on Thursday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Chamberlin Free Public Library, 46 Main St. in Greenville.
Genealogical researcher and author Erin Moulton will lead the program, exploring cemetery iconography, abbreviations, epitaphs and how local graveyards reveal historical clues.
Moulton, a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists, has more than 14 years of experience researching the lives of the departed. Her book “The Beginner’s Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing: Scavenger Hunt and Workbook” will be available for purchase after the event.
The program is free and open to the public, and is supported in part by New Hampshire Humanities. For more on Moulton, visit erinemoulton.com.
