The Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main St. in Jaffrey, welcomes the Rev. Jessica Johannsson for a talk Thursday, May 18, at 6pm.

The talk, titled “What Does an End-of-Life Doula Do?” will be an inside look at the impact that end-of-life doulas can have on the dying experience. Johansson is a trained end-of-life doula for both people and companion animals and has served the Monadnock region since last summer. Her mission is to serve and empower individuals and their loved ones through education, advocacy, coaching, grounded presence, compassionate guidance and companionship on their journey through the end of life.

The event is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted.
