On Saturday, May 18, the 29th annual Children and the Arts Festival takes flight with a full program based around the theme of birds.

“Birds of a Feather” will be a day that includes storytelling, crafts, dance, music, theatrical performances and science projects, highlighted by the annual parade down Peterborough’s Main and Grove streets at noon.

The mission for the annual spring festival, organized by the Children and the Arts Committee, is to offer a free arts festival to celebrate art for, by and with children. Anyone interested in donating, volunteering or both should visit the festival website at childrenandthearts.org.
