The annual Bruce Edes Forest Walk will be Saturday, Sept. 9, at 9 a.m.

Participants should meet at the Bennington Depot parking lot at 9 a.m. and wear comfortable but sturdy shoes.

Edes was a member of the Conservation Commission who died in 2004, and Sept. 9 is his birthday. He started working on establishing a forest in town around 2002, and the forest was established in 2005 and dedicated in the spring of 2006. It includes 34 acres between Route 202 and the Contoocook River.
