A Bennington man was indicted in Hillsborough Superior Court on eight felony charges alleging he sexually assaulted a minor over the course of two years and then threatened his victim with a firearm.

Brandon Guillemette, 29, was initially arrested in April; he was indicted in June and charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, witness tampering, two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault.

The charges allege that Guillemette sexually assaulted a minor under 16 years old on several occasions between November 2017 and October 2018, according to court documents.

The charges also allege that Guillemette threatened his alleged victim with violence if she told anyone of their encounters, put his hand on a firearm and said “If you tell anyone, this will be used against you” and on a separate occasion, pointed a gun at her.
