JaffreyPark Theatre sets ‘An American in Paris’

The Park Theatre, 19 Main St in Jaffrey, will present the film “An American in Paris” on Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m.

The 1951 musical, inspired by George Gershwin’s orchestral composition, stars Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron in a post-War Paris romance. Known for its 17-minute ballet finale, the film features music by George and Ira Gershwin, including “I Got Rhythm” and “S Wonderful.” It won six Academy Awards and is ranked among the American Film Institute’s top 100 American movies.
