An off-duty Peterborough police officer was hospitalized with stab wounds and a 24-year-old Peterborough resident was found dead from gunshot wounds outside a Grove Street residence, and the attorney general’s office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit are investigating whether the officer acted in self-defense.
